Solution
When deploying an MSI application, ZENith can update the UNC path of the
Package Path, Administration Package Path, Transforms List Path and the MSI Patches List Path to a server and volume relative to the Destination container.

Absolute MSI Paths will literally copy the Package Path, Administration Package Path, Transforms List Path and the MSI Patches List Path of the source object to the destination object.

So, if the application Webfolders.LAX.ORG has the following settings:
Identification > Package Information > Administration Package Path: \\LAXsrv01\data
Identification > Package Information > Package Path: \\LAXsrv01\data\webfldrs.msi
MSI > Transforms > Transform List: \\LAXsrv01\data\webfldrs.mst
MSI > Patches > MSI Patches List: \\LAXsrv01\data\webfldrs.msp
and is deployed to NYC.ORG, the new object (Webfolders.NYC.ACME) will be maintain these exact settings.

Relative MSI Paths will generate new values for Package Path, Administration Package Path, Transforms List Path and the MSI Patches List Path based on the values of the target container's ZENith Configuration Object.

The ZENith Configuration Object (or ZCO) is a mostly-empty Application Object that holds container-specific information in each container. ZENith uses the ZCO to replace container-specific information (such as server name and volume name for a given site) as each object is deployed.

So, if the application Webfolders.LAX.ORG has the settings as per the previous example, and is deployed to NYC.ORG, where ZENith Configuration.NYC.ORG is configured thus:
Z_SOURCE_SERVER: NYCsrv02
Z_SOURCE_VOLUME: apps
the new object (Webfolders.NYC.ACME) will inherit these values, and be configured with the following settings:
Identification > Package Information > Administration Package Path: \\NYCsrv02\apps
Identification > Package Information > Package Path: \\NYCsrv02\apps\webfldrs.msi
MSI > Transforms > Transform List: \\NYCsrv02\apps\webfldrs.mst
MSI > Patches > MSI Patches List: \\NYCsrv02\apps\webfldrs.msp
